We're ending 2017 with our diagnosis firmly on the books and our 2018 appointments scheduled to tackle this infertility monster head on. Financially this plan maxes out our deductible in February, maximizing our insurance payout if we need additional cycles or better yet, covering prenatal care and delivery.
January - Cycle Day 1:
Call Fertility Clinic to schedule day 3 bloodwork for insurance qualification, vitamin D bloodwork to recheck levels and get prescription for birthcontrol.
Our fertility clinic does primarily frozen embryo transfer in patient batches...so they're putting me on birth control for one month prior to the month of our egg retrieval.
Deposit due January 19th to secure schedule for February cycle (~$6,500)
February - Retrieval:
Start meds (doses yet to be determined)
Two weeks of every-other-day blood tests at 7am Feb 5-14th
Egg retrieval under anesthesia between Feb 14-19
March - Frozen Embryo Transfer:
Dates TBD
Test around the end of March to determine next steps - hopefully a December 2018 baby!
